2000 Message: As I reread the "Information Sheet", I thought to myself--"How can I remember what happened 40 years ago!" Can you guys remember what happened 40 years ago???? Good luck! Well, anyway, this is what I can remember. I graduated from Colorado State College and Chadron State College with degrees in education and political science. I worked at Hiram Scott College, Scottsbluff High, and Gering Junior High for a total of 33 years. My-oh-my what a change in teaching and kids over 33 years. I got married; had one girl, Allyson; got a divorce; and then married my soul-mate, Chuck, and inherited 4 wonderful step-children and 5 grandchildren. We are both now retired and looking forward to lives of leisure including lots of golf. Maybe I'll think of more by the time I see you guys at the reunion this summer.

2005 Message: Hello again to all my classmates and their families. We are soon to approach the magic age of Medicare. What has happened to the years? My memories of you, my friends, are of eighteen year old graduates who are wrinkle free, having a full-head of hair. Please don't tell me that Rip Van Winkle hass visited you or that the color of your hair comes out of the bottle. My vision isn't what it once was so I won't be able to tell the difference anyway. What matters now is that you are all as healthy as I seem to be and your memories of our friendship are as wonderful as mine. "Thanks for the memories!" should be our Medicare motto if we could just remember it when we turn 65. Take car of yourselves! Gretchen

2010 Message: I taught school at Hiram Scott College, Scottsbluff Public Schools, and Gering Public Schools. I am retired now and am an active volunteer at the North Platte Valley Museum and I am a contributing writer for the Gering Citizen. I write a special section about pioneer history called "Curiosity Corner". I play bridge, golf, read, collect antiques and am active in several organizations. My husband, Chuck, is an avid golfe, reader and also enjoys playing bridge. We really enjoy retirement.

I can remember one time that, while I was in the choir (that was a joke), I had to sit in the hall for an entire class period because I couldn't stop giggling( that probably doesn't surprise you). It was embarassing but not enough to quit being silly.

I can also remember Janet, Marilyn and I playing our flutes in the "Stars of Tomorrow Contest" and we all forgot our parts. Then the giggles started-AGAIN!!
