Louis John Zier, age 82, died peacefully in his home in Littleton on March 16, 2024. He grew up on a farm in Gering Nebraska and went on to graduate from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education. He spent 13 years teaching and coaching football before he changed his career path and went into the insurance business where he would stay for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Beverley, and their son, Darin along with 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Katherine Zier, and by his 2 children, Stacy and Damen Zier

Louie was a life long friend. We had many extended conversations discussing our adventures in high school and before. He had exceptional recall of activities, individuals, friends, relationships and the NE Huskers. He passed away quickly which is good for him but bad for some of us that would have liked to have had that last conversation. I'm sure he is now enjoying his parents, brother and daughter & son who all predeceased him. He is missed.
