Richard D Burns Obituary. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard D Burns of Riverside, California, who passed away on April 24, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. 

From Terry Ryan:  Dick was a great classmate and friend.  My first recollection of Dick was in a basketball game between East Ward and West Ward in probably sixth grade.  To my memory, he was always a jovial friently guy.  It is not well known that Dick entered the USMC and achieved a distinguished professional life in the military rising to the highest enlisted rank of E-9 or Sergeant Major.  He was not well in his last years due to his service in Vietnam.  That service and his issues from it were finally recognized by the Veterans Administration.  Dick was buried with honors in the Veterans Cemetery in Rieverside, CA.
