A memorial service for Katheryn Jean Roudebush Elm, 38, of Colorado, former Gering resident, who died Monday, will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) in First United Methodist Church at Gering. Boley Dennis Gering Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established to the Katheryn Roudebush Elm Scholarship Fund to the School of Nursing at the Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha.

She was born May 14, 1942 at Scottsbluff. She attended Colorado Womens College at Denver, the University of Iowa at Iowa City and graduated from School of Nursing at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital at Omaha. She was emergency room supervisor at Presbyterian Aurora Hospital. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Louisville, Colo., and several nursing associations.

Survivors include her husband Dr. C. David Elm; children, Jason and Jennifer; mother, Sara Jane Roudebush of Gering and brother, Dr. James Roudebush of Cheyenne.
