Lavonne Marie (Hamberger) Conrad, age 76, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018. She was born in Gering, Nebraska on November 25, 1941 to William and Alice (Strong) Hamberger. She was a graduate of Gering High School and went on to further her education at Kearney State Teacher’s College. Lavonne taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades in Sunflower, NE before moving with her husband’s military career, where she had opportunity to teach in Germany, Korea and Georgia. Upon his retirement they settled in Mustang in… 1983. She then taught at the Mustang Methodist Pre-School. She loved her students, her church and her Methodist Women’s ministry she was a part of. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Donnie Hamberger and sister; Darlene Stevens. Lavonne is survived by her husband Jake of 49 years, daughter; Christy Mitchell and husband Eddie, grandchildren; Jordan Mitchell and wife She’lea, Payton and Logan Mitchell, as well as great-grand-daughter Sophia Mitchell. Memorial Services will be 10:00am Saturday, April 28, 2018 at The Mustang United Methodist Church, Mustang, Oklahoma.
