Marilyn Hulinsky (Lackey)

Marilyn Jean Lackey, 43, of Melbeta, died Friday, October 4, 1985 at a hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Mrs. Lackey was born September 2, 1942 at Mitchell, Nebraska to Joe and Alice Volf Hulinsky.

She attended school at Gering and graduated from Gering High School in 1960. She married Ronald Lackey on May 28, 1960 at Scottsbluff. They lived in Gering before moving to Melbeta and purchased the Flame Restaurant in 1975.

She was a member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary in Gering.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ronald Jr. of Arvada, CO and Monte of Denver, CO; her mother, Alice Hulinsky of Gering, formerly of Burwell; and one sister, Kathy Hulinsky of Alliance. She was preceded in death by her father.

A funeral Mass was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 1985 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Rev. Robert Karnish officiating. Pallbearers were Larry Setlik of Ord, Bruce Setlik of Omaha, Dennis Hulinsky of Ord, Darwin Volf of Burwell, Bob Greeb of Minatare, and Tracey York of Melbeta. Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetary of Gering.
