Mary Ann Bertram (Severson)

A funeral for Mary Ann Severson, 48, of 820 10th Street, who died March 22, 1990, in the Scottsbluff Hospital, will be at 10 am Monday in Gering Zion Church with the Rev. Paul Hebbert officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetary at Gering.

She was born January 31, 1942, at Scottsbluff, to Pete and Esther (Pyle) Bertram. She graduated from Gering High School in 1960 and graduated from the Alliance Practical Nurses School in 1962. She married Frank Severson, April 13, 1963, at Scottsbluff. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at St. Mary's hospital until 1976. Then she went to work as a secretary in the Gering Public Schools. She had worked at McKinley School since 1976.

She was a member of the church and Women of the Moose, was an American Cancer Society volunteer and was the president of McKinley Parent Group.

Survivors include her husband; sons Stuart of Lincoln and Grant at home; daughters Rhonda Pena of Ft. Knox, KY, and Kelly Flaten of Lacey, WA; mother Esther Mohr of Bayard; sisters Sandie Cummins and Alice Severson, both of Gering; brother David Bertram of North Platte; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and a granddaughter.
